So happy together... la, la, la... so happy together!

YES! They are happy kitties now. It has been a gradual process, but about a week ago they started getting along pretty well. They are usually in the same room together now. They sleep near each other, if not next to each other. They bathe each other, and they play together.

It's adorable to see them interacting now!

YEAH!!!!!!! I am so glad we added Cocoa to our family. She really fits right in here. She loves the kids, and makes her rounds for cuddling with us.

Here they are in their beds.

It's been a while, so I thought I'd do a quick update.

Cocoa is completely roaming free now. We've given her access to all areas of the house. She's enjoying the new discoveries!! She has learned not to jump in trash cans, not to leap on a toilet seat when the kids forget to put the lid down, and is in the process of learning not to jump on the kitchen table.

Cinnamon is still not enjoying Cocoa. Cocoa likes to jump on her and try to play, but Cinnamon isn't returning the playfulness. At least she is not being mean.

We are enjoying our kitties so very much!! One if them is usually sitting in someone's lap. I'll upload some more pictures soon.

Here they are! Cinnamon and Cocoa's first real meeting from the other night.

As you can see the kids sure are loving Cocoa!

Cocoa is out again today. We now need to figure out the litter box arrangements. Cinnamon's is at the top of our basement stairs. We have a pet door in the basement door. I am wondering if we should move her's down into the basement.... then put Cocoa's down there also (just in a different area). Gotta get that decided on next.

The cats are together! Well, sort of! LOL!

Two days ago we let Cocoa roam out of the bedrooms, and around the house. She started off checking out the rest of our upstairs. The kids kept an eye on her while she searched around and checked things out. We then put her back in my daughter's room at bedtime.

Yesterday we let her out to roam again. This time she came downstairs - where Cinnamon has been hanging out mostly. Cocoa did alot of scampering around. She is loving the freedom to roam now. Cinnamon kept a close eye on her and did a little hissing. We then put Cocoa back in my daughter's room at bedtime, just to be safe while we all slept.

Today we let her out once again. We even left the house to go to my dad's for lunch. I made sure the kids closed up all of the bathrooms (we didn't want to lose Cocoa in a toilet while we were gone, LOL), and I closed up mine & my hubby's bedroom (to keep one room that Cinnamon could escape to that smelled only like her and not Cocoa). They are doing ok. Cocoa is wanting to play, Cinnamon is a little irritated. It's not bad though. Definitely better than I had worried it would be.

We'll put her back in the bedroom for bedtime a few more nights, then I think we'll be ready to open all the doors!!! (We'll make sure the toilet seats are down. She's so tiny, I'd hate for her to accidently jump up and fall in.)

I took a picture last night of them looking at each other. I'll try to post it tomorrow!

To back track a tad... We got a new kitty last weekend. She spent a few days in my son's room, and is now residing in my daughter's room. We are going slow in the introduction process with our other kitty, Cinnamon. We've let Cinnamon sniff a blanket that Cocoa has been sleeping on, and also taken her into my son's room now that Cocoa is not in there.

Well, today they saw each other for the first time since Cocoa came into the house in a cat carrier. Cinnamon was standing at the top of the stairs when Cocoa came running out of my daughter's room. (She runs out everytime my daughter opens the door, LOL.) Cinnamon was hissing at Cocoa, but did not move. Cocoa took a few steps towards Cinnamon, and Cinnamon ran down a few of the steps. We scooted Cocoa back into my daughter's room.

Maybe we'll try this a few more times to let them have brief glimpses of each other before letting Cocoa roam around.
Here I will house the Kitty Blog!

Yesterday this is what they looked like! Cocoa queen of my daughter's bed, Cinnamon queen of the scrapbooking table.
